Behind the Hair at NYFW: The Hair Corset

Tis the season… nope, not the holidays, not yet. It’s a special love it or hate it season for New Yorkers, where fashion girlies and guys take over the city in all their splendor for New York Fashion Week. 

We love to keep an eye out to see what trends are in our future, not just for fashion but for hair! And some of the hair trends felt… familiar. Side bangs may be coming back?

But one hairstyle stopped us in our tracks (and seemed to have caught the eyes of some of our favorite content creators, too). Hair Stylist Lacy Redway, in partnership with Tresemmé, created a scroll-stopping HAIR CORSET for the Christian Siriano runway. As @mattloveshair said, it’s the only corset we want to see.

Now, we’ve long been fans of creative ways to weave hair accessories into your style. Earlier this year we partnered with Hair Stylist Desireé Irving (who, incidentally, has the baddest braiding skills in the industry) to play with all the myriad ways to style our Silk SlipTie and the results were 😍.
